About Noah Hammarlund
Noah Hammarlund, MS, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Health Services Research, Management & Policy. Noah completed his PhD in policy with a focus on health economics, statistics, and machine learning at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oregon. He was a National Library of Medicine fellow in informatics and a postdoctoral fellow at the CHOICE Institute at the University of Washington.
Noah’s research applies advanced econometric methods and machine learning techniques to healthcare challenges. He investigates how innovations in artificial intelligence can enhance patient outcomes and improve healthcare delivery. His primary focus is on cancer, particularly prostate cancer. Noah collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including economists, computer scientists, biostatisticians, informaticians, and clinicians, to drive forward impactful healthcare solutions.
